Adwithiya Pattnaik of Orissa satisfied himself as the under-14 boys’ singles runner-up in the Vijay Madhavi AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament, which concluded at Andhra Loyola College in Vijaywada today.
Top seed Tamil Nadu’s S Siddharth Reddy emerged champion, beating fifth seed Adwithiya 7-5, 6-2 in the final. A trainee of city-based Gurukul Tennis Academy, Adwithiya last week won the boys’ under-14 singles title in the AITA Talent Series Tournament at Hyderabad.
